How long have you been with ABITEC?
I have been with ABITEC for about four and a half years.
What do you do at ABITEC?
I am a technical business director for our Pharmaceutical and Nutritional businesses focusing on business development in Latin America and Canada.
What is your favorite thing about working for ABITEC?
I love the ability to make a real impact in the company and do a bunch of different tasks within the organization.
What college did you attend?
I went to Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan for my Bachelors of Pharmacy. I then went on to the University of Cincinnati in Ohio to receive my Doctorate in Industrial Pharmacy.
Where do you live currently?
I live in Grand Rapids, Michigan with my wife and three kids (two daughters and one son).
Tell us a little more about your background.
I was born in Mount Pleasant, Michigan. My father was a pharmacist and my mother was a school teacher. I grew up in Kentwood, a suburb of Grand Rapids. I originally started Art school but ended up graduating with a degree in Pharmacy. I then went on receive my Industrial Pharmacy graduate degree. I used to live and own a business in Guatemala, but have also lived in Cincinnati and Miami.
I know you do design work on the side. How did you get involved with design/videos?
Aside from my original path of Art school, I have always loved movies and I had always wanted to bring a story to life, so I took up low-budget film making as a hobby.
What is the best way to keep a competitive edge?
By reinventing yourself everyday.
What is your pet peeve?
My pet peeve is unfinished objectives.
What advice would you give yourself 10 years ago?
I would tell myself to invest in yourself.
